DAY 1 - COCHIN Arrive Ernakulam/Cochin by Air/Train in the afternoon. Pick up by tour executive & check into the hotel. Evening free.
DAY 2 - COCHIN Morning half-day City Tour of this beautiful coastal city. One of the largest ports of India. Cochin is a cluster of islands and narrow peninsulas. Visit some of the oldest churches in India, congested Portuguese built colonies, a fabulous synagogue, and other sights. Evening see the famous Kathakali Show. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3 - KOTTAYAM Morning drive to Kottayam. Bordered by the lofty Western Ghats on the East, Vembanad Lake & the Paddy Fields on the West, Kottayam is a land of unique characteristics. Panoramic backwater stretches & lush paddy fields. Visit one of the beautiful spice & rubber plantations. Overnight at Kottayam.
DAY 4 - ALLEPPY Morning board a Houseboat (Kettuvallam) for a cruise from Kottayam to Allepey. Cruise south of Kottayam through narrow backwaters and through villages and waterfront market places, temples, etc. Stop at places of interest and have lunch on board the houseboat. At dusk, lie anchored for the night in the Vembanad Lake. Overnight in the Houseboat.
DAY 5 - DEPARTURE Departure. Morning, after an early breakfast, transfer from Alleppey to Cochin/Ernakulam for onward journey.
